Toy Story 2STORY / GAMEPLAY
You control Buzz Lightyear, the Tim Allen voiced astronaut hero from the movie on a mission to save your pal Woody from an evil prospector named Zurg. Your quest expands in 15 levels of action and each level is divided into five zones. The game includes a map where the player can select a level to play. Only the first level is unlocked at the beginning, but the you can unlock more levels by collecting Pizza Planet tokens which is the main objective. In each level there are five tokens to collect and finishing a whole zone you'll have to fight against a nasty boss to continue to the next.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics in Toy Story 2 are good, detailed and includes areas identical the original animation movie, although the N64's hardware occasionally has a few frame-rate drops here and there and the use of lighting / shadows could be better. Well someone would expect better score on these sectors as the Nintendo's console is pretty powerful. Also, the lack of animated cut-scenes (available on the PlayStation and PC versions) from the film is sorely missed. The vivid and colorful design of the game's levels does not work at the expense of gameplay. The camera angles are a bit painful because you have to wait for Buzz to turn -slowly- around and this may get very frustrating. Also there are scenes where objects are overhead and out of reach! Either way the game is fun to play up to a few levels and the sound is good featuring in-game tunes and sampled voices taken directly from the original Toy Story 2 movie.
